Four New Members Elected to Greenway Conservancy Board
The Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy, the non-profit responsible for management and care of the Greenway, has announced four new members will join its Board of Directors beginning January 1, 2019.
North End resident Carmine Guarino was nominated by the North End Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC). Guarino will join the Board with Bradley W. Snyder who was nominated by the Wharf District Council. Other new members include Rosalind Gorin and Deniz Johnson.
Stepping off of the Board are Beedee Ladd, nominee of the Greenway Conservancy; James Chan, nominee of the Chinatown Neighborhood Council; Dan Sieger, nominee of the Governor’s Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs; John Pregmon, nominee of NEWNC; Chris Betke, nominee of the Leather District Neighborhood Association; and Jane Pappalardo, nominee of the Wharf District Council.
At their December meeting, Chair of the Greenway Conservancy Board Jim Kalustian thanked the outgoing members and expressed excitement about the new members saying,
“THEIR DIVERSE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE, PASSION FOR THE GREENWAY, AND COMMITMENT TO SERVICE WILL HELP US CONTINUE TO BRING THE CONSERVANCY AND THE GREENWAY TO GREATER HEIGHTS.”

Rosalind Gorin, President & CEO, HN Gorin
Rosalind is the third generation to lead her family’s 100-year-old real estate development company with holdings that include business, industrial, and residential holdings. She serves on the board of the Jewish Arts Collaborative, Harvard University Hillel, and as a Trustee of the Urban Land Institute. Rosalind was nominated by the Governor’s Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs.
Carmine Guarino, Senior Vice President of Retail Banking for Berkshire Bank
Carmine Guarino is a lifelong resident of Boston’s North End and very active in the Boston community. He is an elected member of the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council and COMITES, a board member of Operation ABLE, UMass ELP/Center for Collaborative Leadership, the Dante Alighieri Cultural Center in Cambridge, and St. Leonard Parish Finance Council. He has been in banking for 35 years and is currently Senior Vice President of Retail Banking for Berkshire Bank at 60 State St. in Boston. Carmine was nominated by the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council.
Deniz Johnson, Founder and Principal at Pera-Partners
Deniz Johnson is the founder and principal at Pera-Partners, a management consulting company specializing in FinTech startup advisory, strategy implementation, FinTech adoption, business transformation and product/program/project management in financial services and software. Previously, Johnson was a Managing Director at State Street Corporation’s Alternative Investment Solutions (AIS) group. As an active resident of the Leather District, Deniz was nominated by the Leather District Neighborhood Association.
Bradley W. Snyder, Executive Manager Director, Tiger Capital Group
Brad Snyder is a member of the senior leadership team at Tiger Capital Group where he negotiates complex asset management and capital solutions transactions – with a focus on consumer goods and intellectual property. He has served on the Board of Directors of The Sharper Image and Board of Advisors of Linens ‘n Things and has also been a Director for the Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Boston, Big Brothers of Greater Boston, Jewish Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Boston, and is a member of good standing of the Massachusetts Bar. Brad was nominated by the Wharf District Council.
