Auctions Set For Excess Assets Of Wood Manufacturer
–Tiger Group to sell assets from manufacturing plants in Calif. and S.C, as well Indianapolis distribution center and fleet; all no longer needed for American Forest Products’ continuing operations
SACRAMENTO (4/7/15)—Tiger Group’s Remarketing Services Division is conducting online auctions of equipment, wood inventory and other assets from wood moulding manufacturing plants in Sacramento, Calif. and Manning, S.C., as well as a logistical distribution center and trucking fleet in Indianapolis owned by American Forest Products (AFP). The facilities are no longer necessary to AFP’s continuing operations and have been closed by the company.
“The wood moulding plant auctions in Sacramento and Manning represent a unique buying opportunity for a wide range of building material manufacturers and other woodworking companies,” said John Coelho, Senior Vice President of Tiger Remarketing Services. “In turn, trucking companies and distribution center operators will find a diverse selection of assets at the fleet and logistical distribution center auction in Indianapolis.”
In general, assets at the Sacramento plant include woodworking and packaging equipment; a machine shop; a large quantity of plywood, pine, redwood, oak, and other wood products in sheets, dowels, strips, mouldings, hand rails, and more; forklifts, pallet racking, plant support and office equipment; as well as a classic 1945 Dodge fire truck. Assets in Manning include moulders, saws, a coating line, forklifts, as well as re-grind, maintenance, plant support and office equipment. The Indianapolis fleet and logistical distribution center features Freightliner, Mack and Kenworth tractors as new as 2007; curtain side trailers and straight-job trucks as new as 2005; International vans; pallet racking; a wide range of material handling equipment, including forklifts, tuggers and other under-roof rolling stock; packing and shipping equipment; as well as office furnishings, networking and I/T equipment.
Online bidding will commence April 7 for the Sacramento facility, April 14 for the Manning location and April 28 for the Indianapolis facility at www.SoldTiger.com. Bids will start closing in rapid succession, live auction style, at 10:30 a.m. (PT) on April 14 for the Sacramento plant; at 10:30 a.m. (ET), April 21 for the Manning facility; and at 10:30 a.m. (ET), May 5 for the Indianapolis location.
Previews of the various assets being offered are available April 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (PT), at 6001 Power Inn Rd., Sacramento; April 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (ET), at 1830 Greeleyville Highway in Manning; and May 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (ET), at 7452 Tempelhof Drive in Indianapolis.
Key individual assets featured in the online auctions of the Manning and Sacramento facilities include a Rosenquist EF-100 electro-flow rip saw, a Timesaver 300 sander, a Makor LP/6 profile sander, table saws, band saws, and other woodworking equipment; a Shanklin heat tunnel, an Extreme Packaging shrink wrap machine and other packaging equipment.
The Manning regrind and maintenance shop features two Rondamat 934 profile grinders; a United cutter/grinder; a 20-ton shop press; power and hand tools, and other equipment. Also available, on special consignment, is a 2006 Paul 4-foot panel rip saw with Bargstedt in/out feed and exit conveyor; Homag-type double end tenoners; a Stiles Machinery LP Maskin double shrink wrap tunnel; and other equipment.
Machine shop equipment at the Sacramento facility includes a Southbend lathe, and grinders and drill presses.
At both facilities, a variety of plant support and rolling stock includes Hyster 50, 60, & 80 LPG forklifts; more than 160 sections of assorted pallet racking; Ingersoll Rand and Quincy air compressors; Sullair packaged and screw type air compressors; Toyota, Caterpillar and TCM LPG forklifts; and a 1992 White GMC day cab tractor.
Office equipment at the plants includes chairs, file cabinets, computers, and Polycom VOIP phones, and a Nortel phone system.
In addition to the items cited above, the Indianapolis distribution center also features nearly 400 sections of pallet racking with 42-in. and 72-in H frames; Sato barcode verifiers, printers & applicators; a Wulftec automated pallet wrapper; semiautomatic and manual strapping machines, and other equipment.
Material handling equipment at the Indiana facility includes Crown and Toyota tuggers/tow tractors with steel moulding carts; Crown reach trucks; Linde, Toyota and Komatsu forklifts; pallet jacks and other equipment. Networking and telecommunications equipment available for sale includes Dell, Cisco and Adtran server room equipment; a Polycom VOIP Phone System and IP 5000 Spider/Conference Phones. Dell, IBM, and Lenovo laptops and other electronic equipment are available.
Office suites and systems—including cubicles, desks, credenzas, and boardroom conference tables—will also be offered for sale.
